A BILL to amend article seven, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section one-g,
relating to law-enforcement programs of the division of
natural resources; and providing for the transfer of
responsibility of these programs to the secretary of
military affairs and public safety.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article seven, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
one-g, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 7. LAW ENFORCEMENT, MOTORBOATING, LITTER.
§20-7-1g. Transfer to secretary of military affairs and public safety.
Effective the first day of January, two thousand, the
law-enforcement programs of the division of natural resources
shall be transferred to the secretary of military affairs and
public safety who shall thereafter be responsible for the
supervision and direction of the division of natural resources
law-enforcement practices, means and methods.
NOTE: This bill transfers the law-enforcement programs of
the Division of Natural Resources to the Secretary of Military
Affairs and Public Safety.
